How is DryShine different than other tire dressings?

DryShine Tire Treatment  is a revolutionary water-based resin unlike any of the silicone based products.  It’s environmentally friendly, and formulated to adhere to your tire’s sidewall and provide an extremely durable and great looking shine that will outlast any other tire dressing on the market today!  As in it’s name DryShine dries to the touch in seconds, and unlike spray on products, will not attract road film or brake dust that creates that greasy brown sludge you’re used to experiencing with other dressings.  The need to use harsh cleaners and constant re-applications are a thing of the past!  And no spinoff onto fenders, wheel wells or rocker panels!

How long will DryShine last on my tires?

Unlike other dressings that merely sit on the surface of the tire to produce their shine, DryShineTire Treatment  is formulated to actually bond to the rubber. With proper application and care, DryShine will last for the life of the tire!  Yes, you read right!  One kit will provide enough product to initially treat and then touch up scuffs that may occur…..being the LAST tire treatment you’ll need to purchase until you replace your tires!  A bold claim that we can make with total confidence.

Why is there a Tire Cleaner/Prep in the kit? 

DryShine Tire Treatment  will only adhere to clean dry rubber.  Any previous dressings, greasy road film or rubber oxidation must be removed first in order for our Tire Treatment to adhere to your tire’s sidewall.  The cleaning step is CRITICAL to a long lasting coating, that will outlast any other tire treatment on the planet!  The additional time spent for proper tire prep will pay off with huge benefits.  Follow instructions provided for both Tire Prep and Treatment Application for best results.

Do I need to clean my NEW tires?

Absolutely!  Even new tires have a coating that comes from the factory that helps release the tires from the molds.  It too needs to be cleaned off before applying DryShine Tire Treatment.  Our DryShine Tire Prep is a powerful cleaner that was created to remove all silicone on either new or used tires.

Is the DryShine Tire Cleaner/Prep safe for my wheels?

Yes, while a powerful cleaner for your tires, it should not in most cases be harmful to your wheels.  It would be wise to test it first on a small area of your wheel to be certain.  Precaution should be taken to not apply on hot wheels or in direct sunlight.  And never allow the cleaner to DRY on your wheels!  Always rinse both tires and wheels thoroughly after use.  We have actually been told by some users that the Tire cleaner works great on their Wheels too! 

What if I don’t clean the tire first?

Tire Cleaning and Prep is ASOLUTELY A MUST!!  DryShine Tire Treatment is water based, and WILL NOT STICK to either dirty tires or tires previously treated with silicone products. The coating will definitely flake or peel off wherever tires have not been properly cleaned and prep’d.  Cleaning with the spray and scrub brush provided is simple and well worth the extra time taken.

How do I care for the tires after they are treated? 

Once properly applied, the care for your tires is truly a snap.  Treat them as you would the painted surfaces of your car!  Wash tires with merely a mild soap or carwash shampoo, using either a sponge, mitt or soft bristled brush.  Automated car washes and power washing will not have any harmful effect on your tire’s shine!  Do not use harsh cleaners or tire acid, as they will tend to dull the shine over time.  Proper care will help your DryShine Tire Treatment last for the life of your tires with minimal care!

Can I touch up scuffmarks or scrapes on my sidewall?

Absolutely.   Just clean tire well before reapplying, first touching up the areas you want to repair.  Then reapply an overall coat to the whole tire to blend in the shine and make it consistent.  You’ll again be good to go for months to come!

Does DryShine Tire Treatment actually protect the tire?

Yes!   Our Treatment is formulated to protect the rubber in several ways.  First, it contains ingredients that totally block out the harmful UV rays from the sun, as well as the damaging effects that ozone has on rubber.  Secondly, our product seals the surface of the tire to lock in all the natural lubricants that are in the rubber from the factory.  In spite of advertising claims of UV protection, most spray-on products on the market today have been found to speed up the evaporation process of these precious lubricants, actually increasing the aging process! 

Will I still get that annoying brown slime on my tires?

No.  DryShine Tire Treatment  is the first treatment formulated to provide a DRY, anti-static finish. It repels normal dust and road film, and allows any dirt or mud that gets on the tire to wash right off with a simple spray of a hose.  Mild soap and a sponge will restore the original shine of your tire LONG after original application!

Will it work on white lettering or whitewalls?

Yes. The instructions tell how to best coat white surfaces in order to help keep them bright white and shiny, also being protected and looking great for the life of the tire!

How shiny is DryShine Tire Treatment?

DryShine Tire Treatment  produces an elegant deep rich shine that doesn’t overwhelm you with a wet look as some dressings do.  The level of shine can be controlled by the number of coats used on the initial application, increasing with each additional coat.  If wear or washings begins to have any dulling effect on the shine, a simple recoating will quickly restore the original luster you loved when first applied!  

Can I use the applicator provided after the initial treatment?

Absolutely.  Being a water based product, simply wash out your applicator well with plain water and let it dry.  It will last indefinitely if cared for properly, and can be used for touchups and re-applications if desired.
