How long will DryShine last on my faded trim?

 
Unlike other dressings that merely sit on the surface of the trim to produce their darkening effect, DryShine Black Trim Restore Treatment  is formulated to actually bond to the plastic. Our treatment will not wash off from carwashes, or even powerwashes!  It’s intended as a PERMANENT solution to your faded trim problems!  One kit will provide you with the ability to treat all the faded trim on an average sized vehicle.  .

Why is it necessary to Prep the surfaces to be treated BEFORE application? 

DryShine Black Trim Restore Treatment , like all DryShine products,  will only adhere to clean dry surfaces.  Any previous dressings, wax or greasy road film must be removed first in order for our Treatment  to adhere to your vehicle’s trim.  The cleaning step is CRITICAL to a long lasting coating. The little additional time spent for proper surface prep will pay off with huge benefits of a permanent solution.  We highly recommend our DryShine Multi-Surface Prep and Cleaner for this purpose.  Follow instructions provided for both Prep and Treatment Application for best results.

How do I care for the trim after it has been treated? 

Once properly applied, the care for your trim is truly a snap.  Treat it just as you would the painted surfaces of your car!  Wash trim with merely a mild soap or carwash shampoo, using either a sponge, mitt or soft bristled brush, no different than you would your painted surfaces.  Automated car washes and power washing will not have any harmful effect on your trim!  Do not use harsh cleaners or acids, as they will tend to dull the trim’s shine over time.  Proper care will help your DryShine Black Trim Restore Treatment  last for the life of your vehicle!

Can I touch up scuffmarks or scrapes on my trim?

 
Absolutely.   Just clean trim well before reapplying, first touching up the areas you want to repair.  Then reapply an overall coat to the whole trim piece to blend in the darkness and shine and make it consistent.  You’ll again be good to go for a long time to come!

Does DryShine Black Trim Restore Treatment actually protect the trim?

Yes!   Our Treatment is formulated to protect the plastic trim in several ways.  First, it contains ingredients that totally block out the harmful fading UV rays from the sun, as well as the damaging effects of ozone.  Secondly, our product seals the surface of the trim to lock in all the natural lubricants that are in the material from the factory.  In spite of advertising claims of UV protection, most spray-on products on the market today have been found to speed up the evaporation process of these precious lubricants, actually increasing the aging process! 

Will dust and road film stick to the treated trim surfaces?

No!  DryShine Black Trim Restore Treatment  is the first treatment formulated to provide a DRY, anti-static finish. It repels normal dust and road film, and allows any dirt or mud that gets on the trim to wash right off with a simple spray of a hose.  Mild soap and a sponge will restore the original shine of your trim LONG after original application!
